The pandemic had a huge impact on thousands of school children, many of whom have struggled to get back to class ever since.

There’s now a national crisis when it comes to low attendance – with double the number of children missing school than before Covid.

Sky’s people and politics correspondent Nick Martin has been given access to a special team, whose job it is to get children back to school.
