Amtrak derailment: train collided with truck in Moorpark, CA

An Amtrak passenger train headed for Seattle derailed in Moorpark, California after colliding with a water tanker truck. Officials said eight people suffered minor or moderate injuries.

The Ventura County Fire Department said the train was carrying up to 200 passengers. All of the cars went off the tracks but were still standing vertically when FOX 11's SkyFOX helicopter was overhead.

Crews were also able to extinguish a fire that broke out following the collision.
