Americans kidnapped in Haiti: search continues for nurse, daughter

The search continues for an American nurse and her daughter who were kidnapped in Haiti.

It's been six days since New Hampshire nurse Alix Dorsainvil and her daughter were abducted from a clinic in Haiti.

President Biden has been briefed on the kidnapping and the state department says it's still working to secure her release.

Witnesses say the group who abducted Dorsainvil was initially looking for Alix's husband, the director of the Christian non-profit, "El Roi Haiti." The gang is reportedly demanding $1 million dollars in ransom.

LiveNOW's Lexie Petrovic spoke about the kidnapping in Haiti with Simon Hankinson, a Senior Research Fellow in the Border Security and Immigration Center at The Heritage Foundation.
