Nine-year-old Alfie Steele had 50 injuries at the time of his death, including bruises all over his body, and signs he had been deprived of oxygen.

Alfie's mother Carla Scott was convicted of manslaughter but found not guilty of murder and her partner Dirk Howell was found guilty of murder, at Coventry Crown Court.
