The family of Alexei Navalny says the Kremlin and Russian President Vladimir Putin are blackmailing them, ordering them to have a secret service for the Putin rival in exchange for the release of his body. President Biden met with Navalny's wife, Yuli Navalnaya and their daughter, Dasha on Thursday, ahead of announcing 500 new sanctions against Russia in the wake of Navalny's death, which he blames on Putin.
