£750m for UK civil and nuclear deterrent to be announced

Minister for nuclear and renewables Andrew Bowie MP says there is "no net-zero without nuclear" - as the government announces new investment in both civil and military capabilities.

Firms including BAE Systems, Rolls-Royce, EDF and Babcock are partnering with the government to invest around £750m in skills, jobs and education for defence and civil nuclear industries.

First though, Kay Burley asked him about the hack of the Electoral Commission and the sanctions that are set to be imposed on Chinese agents as a result.
