On December 2nd, 1995, Patrick Roy and the Montreal Canadiens squared off against the Detroit Red Wings in a game that would go down in NHL HISTORY!

Surrendering 9 goals on 28 shots, Patrick Roy was pulled in the 2nd period of the blowout, only to approach Canadiens then-President Ronald Corey during the game and tell him:

"This is my last game as a Montreal Canadien.

On December 6th, 1995, Patrick Roy was traded to the Colorado Avalanche. Ending the Roy era in Montreal.
