Ukraine war: Russia's defence ministry claims it has thwarted large attack in Donetsk

Around 250 Ukrainian troops have been killed and multiple tanks destroyed in the Donetsk region of Ukraine, according to the Russian military.

The Ukrainian defence ministry and military have not yet responded to Moscow's claims.
