We are ready for the final League game of IPL 2023 and we are back at Chinnaswamy as Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) go up against Gujarat Titans (GT). It is a big game for RCB as they need to win it to strengthen their playoff chances while for GT it is an opportunity to rest Shami and some of their big players before the all-important Qualifier 1. The atmosphere would be electric at the Chinnaswamy and at the end of it we will be ready with our final four teams for the playoffs.

Head-to-Head Record: RCB and GT have played against each other two times in the IPL history and it is Even-Stevens at this point in time. Both teams have won one game each and let's see who takes an upper hand in this game. Head to Head: RCB 1-1 GT. Faf du Plessis's side won a similar late-season encounter last year after chasing down GT's 168 rather comfortably.

Royal Challengers Bangalore (Preview) - RCB have blown hot and cold this season but are coming into this game on the back of two perfect performances. However a loss here can still put them in a situation of so close yet so far and they need to be on the top of their game again against a powerful GT unit. RCB's big three - Virat Kohli Faf du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell are delivering and have scored bulk of runs. The conditions at Chinnaswamy demand another big performance from these guys but the likes of Mahipal Lomror Anuj Rawat also need to step up if needed.

Also there is a doubt over Dinesh Karthik's availability and RCB would be hoping that their experienced finisher is ready to go for this game. On the bowling front Mohammed Siraj has been RCB's premier bowler with 17 wickets and overall RCB have been pretty good with the ball in the Powerplay. Josh Hazlewood has been ruled out of IPL 2023 but Wayne Parnell is doing a decent job for them at the moment so it is not a big worry. Another key player for RCB in this game is Michael Bracewell and his all-round skills would be critical. Expect RCB to come out all guns blazing.

Gujarat Titans (Preview) - GT have been the team to beat this season just like they were in the last season. The defending champions have found new heroes in almost every game and would be looking to continue the momentum with a win going into the Qualifier 1. GT's mainstay with the bat has been Shubman Gill and just like Virat Kohli he is also coming on the back of a century in this game. They bat deep though and if the top order fails. they have some great finishers like David Miller Rahul Tewatia Rashid Khan which makes them a dangerous unit.

GT's bowling on the other hand is one of the best in the tournament. They have a great blend of pace and spin in their attack and Shami with his top-class Powerplay bowling has rattled many opponents. Also Mohit Sharma has been a revelation this season while Rashid Khan and Noor Ahmad are the genuine wicket-takers that make them a lethal attack. Can RCB reach playoffs for the fourth consecutive time? Let's find out.

What to expect: There is a forecast for scattered showers in Bengaluru on Sunday evening and that could add to the qualification drama set to unfold on the final day of the league phase. Subsurface aeration at the ground should allow for quick resumptions if play does get suspended at some point so a total washout is unlikely. As it is teams prefer to chase at the Chinnaswamy Stadium and the forecast will only nudge the toss-winning captain further in that direction. Curiously however teams batting first have won four of the six games played at the venue so far.
