The NHL and NHLPA announce the first grant recipient through Hockey Fights Cancer powered by the V Foundation, Dr. Gelareh Zadeh at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre in Toronto. Dr. Zadeh, an Iranian-Canadian neurosurgeon and scientist, will receive $800,000 in funding for her remarkable research on brain tumor treatment options. The NHL, NHLPA, and V Foundation executives toured Dr. Zadeh's lab while in Toronto for All-Star festivities.
