An endangered orchid has flowered in the UK for the very first time.

The Florida ghost orchid - which is mainly found in southern Florida and Cuba, is on display to the public at the Royal Botanic Gardens in West London.

It was flown into the UK from Chicago two weeks ago, with the bud displayed at Chelsea Flower Show before it was donated to Kew Gardens.
