Newark Mayor Ras J. Baraka, Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé, and Chief of Fire Rufus L. Jackson provide an official update regarding the deaths of two Newark Firefighters while fighting a 2-alarm fire at Port Newark. The fire began late Wednesday night and more than five cars on the ship were already burning when firefighters arrived.
